Hello, I am Angie Williams-Chehmani, PhD., the founder and owner of Dr. Angie's Tutoring and Learning Resources Center (ATLRC). I believe knowing how to read, write, and do math, at the appropriate grade level, are important to students' personal and social successes. Unfortunately, not all students meet grade-level matrixes, nor do they have access to the support to help them outside of school, which is why I started the business in June of 2021. Since opening, more than 200 students have received tutoring, and exciting things are happening. I look forward continuously serving and supporting the community and its students.

Here is a little about me. I hold a doctorate in higher education administration with a focus on curriculum and instruction and TESOL from Bowling Green State University (OH); a master’s in English: professional writing from Wright State University (OH); a bachelor’s in communication and English from the College of Mount Saint Joseph (OH); and a certificate of deaf studies from Sinclair Community College (OH). I earned a PK-12 Administrators Certificate from the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals in 2021.

I have taught developmental English, journalism, technical writing, composition, research writing, communications, and English as a Second Language for more than 30 years in higher education and served as a college administrator at two– and four-year colleges. I have also tutored reading with various literacy organizations such as Literacy Volunteers of America and America Reads.
